Karen Tyree grew up in South Jersey and later moved to Long Island, where she lived in Massapequa and Northport. Karen attended Farmingdale College and SUNY (State University of New York) in Oswego, New York. She began her career in real estate finance in 1989 at World Savings and worked with several larger banks, including CitiBank, First Union, and Sun Trust. Having spent many summer vacations on the Jersey shore and enjoying time on the beach, Karen and her family were delighted to relocate to Hobe Sound in 2005. In 2012, Karen chose to become a licensed realtor and quickly established herself as a top-producing agent. Karen?s background in real estate finance provides her clients with a higher level of experience that has proven helpful in negotiations and contracts. Karen and her husband together have four children and four grandchildren. To spend additional time with their family, they have recently purchased a second home in the Bethany Beach area of Delaware. In addition to her love of the beach, Karen enjoys cooking, golfing, and volunteering within her community. Karen is proud to have served as a Guardian ad Litem for foster care children for several years, earning Guardian ad Litem of the Year for Martin County in 2010; she served as a Director with her local Association of Realtors from 2015-2019 and 2022; and is currently the HOA President for her community of 550 homes after serving as Vice-president from 2019-2021.
