Community Involvement

Much of the warmth and vibrancy of Rowayton is due to the commitment of its volunteers and the organizations they serve. Meg has been an active participant, always looking for ways to improve the community while maintaining the town's historic charm. A steady volunteer in town since 2012, Meg began her local community service with the Rowayton Parents Exchange. She eventually became the organization's President for two years and helped to raise over $20,000 for the renovation and improvements of the Bayley Beach Playground. After her four years with the RPE, Meg joined the volunteer parent board with The United Church Nursery School, serving as Co-President for two years. She was an active participant in school technological upgrades and fundraising for capital projects. The Rowayton Civic Association (RCA) is responsible for many of the town's beloved annual events and is at the heart of community building. Meg served four years on the RCA's board and the executive committee as the Communications Manager. She currently runs the RCA's communications through her own company, House of Swans, LLC.

Personal

Meg comes from a cheerful family of six, including her husband, Stephen, three children, and Shepard mix dog. She and Stephen moved out from New York City in 2011 and instantly fell for Rowayton because of their love of being on the water. Meg grew up as a competitive swimmer and currently trains with a masters program at the Darien YMCA. She also enjoys running, tennis, and sailing up to Block Island every summer with her family.

Experience

Meg's experience in real estate started by watching her mother work as a real estate sales agent and owner of a staging business while growing up in New Canaan. She instantly fell in love with looking at houses and grew up in a house where flipping houses that needed work were part of every day life. She does not shy away from a project and can stage a house for sale with ease.
