Excellent doesn't begin to describe... They have the empathy of a parent, knowledge of a professor and drive of an 80s stock trader. If there was a "fudiciary" status in real estate, Batya and Alex would be that.
We had to move thousands of miles, with two kids school age, had no knowledge of the MA real estate market, AND... 3 days to see houses. Batya and Alex arranged back to back appointments with 8-10 listings per day and took us around. For the market they operate that is pretty much the entire lot. Just to give them some more challenges, we changed our mind from renting to buying at the end of first day :). So they rewamped the entire program within a couple of hours. We saw a house we loved, and decided to give an offer. We were ready to fly back. Having both the experience, and the instincts of an excellent agent, Batya can read both the seller and the buyer (us). So she says, "OK, all is good, but if you like this house, I need to show you one more listing". So we saw another house in an entirely different neighbourhood. Low and behold, our offer was rejected, we weren't phased. We gave an offer to the "additional" house Batya suggested. We live there now and absolutely love it. It is the best place for our family, and Batya and Alex knew it before we did.
I won't even get into all the amazing things they did during the rest of the process: assist with the offer and negotiation, helping us regroup after the loan fell through, deal with all the details of formalities and inspections when we couldn't be there for them, and keeping in touch after the purchase to see how all was going. They were always there to help with finding contractors to doctors to supermarkets.
