We recently purchased a home in Weston, CT for which Beth was our Realtor. It would be an understatement if we told you it was far from easy. We originally sat down with Beth in 10/2012 where we told her our circumstances and proceeded to sign papers to have Beth represent us. We are a family of 4 relocating from LA, California to CT where we had 2 girls in private school that was paid in full for the year, as well as a short sale in our background. We told Beth we needed to find a seller that would be willing to have an 8 month long closing and she assured us that she would be able to get us into a house.
The purpose of our original meeting with Beth was to narrow down the areas of CT that would suit us best as a family. Beth was very organized in her process of finding us the correct residence. She proceeded to take us to the 3 areas of CT which we expressed interest in. She showed us distances from houses to towns and schools, as well as to parkways. She even suggested we set up appts at the area schools to get tours. We were able to quickly narrow down our search to Weston & Westport. During that week with Beth we asked her to get us in to as many houses as she could. We must have seen well over 50 homes & even looked at land. We met her as early as 9 am everyday & continued with her until sometimes late into the evening. She cleared her calendar for us & had never met us before.
During our search for what we thought was only going to be narrowing down where we wanted to live in CT, we fell in love with 1 house in particular, that wasn’t even on the market anymore. Beth got us in the house anyway and began to speak with the sellers Realtor to get a feel for the sellers position on how quickly they would like to close. Beth began negotiations for us & we headed back to LA knowing Beth would be able to get the deal done. She proceeded to recommend inspectors, lawyers & mortgage brokers all of which we were happy with. With an 8 month long closing, the house went through hurricane Sandy and multiple snowstorms. Beth made sure to check on the house & always kept us updated with photos, an email or a quick call.
Her knowledge, passion & determination made all the difference in the success of our purchase. Beth went above & beyond what any Realtor would have done. She is an all around professional. We cannot thank Beth enough for her time, patience & guidance throughout our entire 8 month long closing. She is a true friend & an amazing person.
