Personal
- My maternal grandparents came to Norwalk having immigrated in 1907 from Palermo & Marsala Sicily. My paternal grandfather in 1908 from Calabria working in the Scranton Pennsylvania coal mines, until they arrived in Norwalk in 1941.
- I was born in Norwalk on Byington Place. I attended Jefferson, Fitch & Naramake elementary schools, Nathan Hale and I am a 1976 graduate of Norwalk High School. I have lived on Lockwood Lane since 1964! So I am very familiar with the city of Norwalk.
- I am married for nearly 35 years to the former Jill Marie Gentry of Arlington Viriginia, who is an elementary teacher in Darien. We have four sons who All worked at Stew Leonard's at some point, the youngest now in the Navy, stationed at Lackland airbase in San Antonio Texas.
- I was ordained as a Baptist minister in 2007 and also in 2014 with the UCC. I have pastored three churches in Fairfield county over the past 30 years in Redding/Georgetown, Wilton at the former Swedish Covenant, and the Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church of South Norwalk. We continue our ministry among the needy and homeless, and I am also a musician and have a Gospel band with my sons called, 'Sounds of Joy!'
- I have traveled extensively in Europe 1985 visiting 15 countries, including three then communist countries. I did a six week summer missions trip to Central America in 1988 visiting Costa Rica, Panama, EL Salvador, & Honduras. I also studied and traveled in Israel & Greece in May 1989, and also took a trip to ancient sites of Turkey in 2006.
