Michael Gary is originally from Upstate New York. After graduating from Southampton College with a degree in Marine Science, he decided to make the Hamptons his home. Always having an affinity for the sea and its surroundings made this decision an easy one. Michael's interest in the arts also drew him to the beauty of the East End's natural "light" and its vast artistic community. Michael's own paintings, prints and photographs are generally of the many diverse water fronts that populate the area. In the years that followed he advanced from owning an Interior Design firm to eventually beginning his real estate career in 1988. As luck would have it, he sold an oceanfront property his very first year. In 1996, he began Appraisal's East, Inc. which specializes in evaluating properties on both the North and South forks of Eastern Long Island. With the experience gained over the years, as a licensed Real Estate Broker and a certified Real Estate Appraiser, Michael is willing to offer guidance to both his buyers and sellers. Most buyers are knowledgeable of the real estate market through the internet. But there are many nuances of buying and selling that might not be so obvious. Michael's expertise, honesty and "easy going manner" can make this process a little less stressful. Exclusive properties are advertised and marketed through the appropriate media outlets. Michael and his partner share their Southampton home with their Cairn Terrier, Cody, who is also drawn to walks along some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
