Personal
David and Robin fell in love with the island 15 years ago when they first visited for an overnight stay, and from that moment on dreamed of living 30 miles out-to-sea. After spending countless vacations on Nantucket, it was just a matter of time before their dream of becoming full-time residents became a reality. In September 2016, they were thrilled to have married at the iconic White Elephant Hotel. Before David and Robin joined William Raveis as sales agents in 2021, Robin worked as the Marketing Director for a small island real estate agency where she produced full scale marketing packages, including real estate photography, drone photography, videos and 3D virtual tours. With the outbreak of Covid there was an increased demand for virtual online experiences and David & Robin formed Slick Productions, offering the highest quality Matterport 3D virtual tours, and overall real estate marketing. DAVID'S BACKGROUND | Born and raised in the beautiful countryside of North Adams, MA, David is an experienced contractor and property manager with a background in finance. David has two adult children, Becky and David, and is a grandfather to Gavin and Emily. Prior to moving to Nantucket, David was the Facilities Director at the Norman Rockwell Museum where he oversaw all facilities operations, maintenance management and capital improvements. ROBIN'S BACKGROUND | Robin grew up in Manhattan and practiced law in the city until her mid-30s when she moved with her then husband to the Berkshires to raise their two kids, Harrison, a Junior at Northeastern, and Samantha, a freshman at the Rhode Island School of Design. While in the Berkshires and living next door to the world renowned Kripalu Yoga Center, she became a 500 E-RYT Certified Yoga Instructor where she led mind/body workshops, taught classes to children, corporate employees, and to private and small groups. Upon moving to Nantucket she taught yoga at the Nantucket Hotel until the onset of COVID-19 when she stopped teaching. In the Berkshires, David and Robin were involved with several not-for-profit organizations, including the Berkshire Country Day School where Robin's children attended, religious organizations, and a prominent local art school. In their free time now, they enjoy walking their Mini Aussie puppy "Lenny" along the beach and the many trails of the Conservation Foundation and Land Bank properties. David can be found fishing in many beautiful areas of the island, both from shore and from his kayak. And Robin's likes photographing the island's beautiful beaches, lighthouses, sunrises and sunsets, and so much more. They love their colleagues and being a part of the William Raveis team!
