An Agent since 2008, Amanda brings 20 years of home design and construction experience to the Real Estate marketplace. A Designer and GC, Amanda understands that a house is a home first, and an investment that must meet the aesthetic, functional and financial needs of the buyer. She can envision a home's full potential, designing and estimating any update. With experience working for several Kitchen Design firms, and as a licensed New Home Build Contractor, Amanda can help clients navigate transactions requiring any staging, design or renovation work, with her vast knowledge of architecture and residential construction. Her work with the 'Trades' and access to subcontractors allows her to advocate and provide ease for buyers looking to purchase a home requiring an update. Amanda's experience lends itself to a keen understanding of a property's value, offering insight during negotiations and building inspections. Amanda and her 3 'kids' are Darien natives. As a graduate of Middlebury College, with a focus on Historic Architecture, and The School of Visual Arts in NYC, Amanda hails from a family of Fashion Designers and Chefs. She loves "everything that celebrates the home," and is known to say, " the kitchen is the new living room." Having renovated numerous kitchens and 'flipped' 10 personal homes, she resides in Rowayton, loving the 'Village' lifestyle for its smaller footprint and 'turn-key' living. This affords her time to pursue with passion, design, running, teaching at yoga studios or in the Park, blogging and baking her way into the hearts of many.
