Bio

Derek grew up in the small gold mining town of Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, playing hockey, tennis, baseball and golf as well as enjoying the great Northern outdoors. With a passion for the game, Derek attended Georgian College where he received a Professional Golf Management degree bringing him to Hilton Head Island for the first time. Beginning his career as an intern at the Palmetto Dunes Resort, he later moved on to become the Director of Instruction at Old South Golf Links. It didn’t take long for Derek and wife, Jamie to fall in love with the Lowcountry. With one son, Conrad, the Galls have called Hilton Head Island and Bluffton home for nearly 15 years.
