About Barbara Yozell

To Whom It May Concern:
In the 20 years-plus I’ve known Barb Yozell, what began as a business relationship as I and my family bought and sold houses in Marblehead has morphed into a true and valued friendship. There are good reasons for this, owing largely to Barb’s professionalism, positive attitude, incredible heart and 100% commitment to doing what’s right for her customers.
Barb adheres to a set of standards that are becoming rare commodities: She shows up (on time), listens, cares (very, very deeply) and delivers. She doesn’t play games; doesn’t mince words (even when the message isn’t precisely what the customer might want to hear) and is unshakably wed to the concepts of fairness and honesty. So who wouldn’t seek a friendship from a woman who displays traits like that as a customer goes through the process of buying or selling a home?
In terms of professional performance, she is the consummate pro. Poring over MLS listings, innumerable phone calls (sometimes at very, very odd hours) to check on the “heard on the street” possibilities, and countless viewings, open houses and drive-bys – Barb is always up front and direct with her customers. “It’s your decision, your life,” she would intone, or something very close to that. “I’m just the introduction service. If you like it, let’s give it a shot. But you’re the boss.”
It seems to me that the best real estate agents are those who know local markets like few others, and Barb’s network of friends, customers and acquaintances makes her a valuable source of information about the customer’s potential home. She also has the smarts to piece together disparate tidbits of information that help size up a house or neighborhood and provide a sense of security in the long-term value of what is without question one of life’s most significant decisions.
And talk about going the extra mile…Barb can relate dozens (maybe hundreds) of stories about doing the extras that go with serving customers in the real estate business, but I hope one of her personal favorites is agreeing to feed our ferret, Lily, while we were out of town and in a pinch for pet support while our house was on the market. I’m pretty sure – though a bit foggy on this one at my advancing age – that she babysat for one or both of our children while we were doing something related to a home purchase.
Barb’s a rare find; a business contact you can trust – completely and instantly. It’s a “vibe” thing with her, and unless you’re completely hardened or totally clueless, it’s instantly apparent. She possesses a casual assurance that makes doing business with her easy, relaxing – as much as buying or selling a home can be – and tons of fun.
If you’re in the market to buy or sell a home, you’re in good hands with Barb Yozell. If you might be up for a new friend or a very tapped-in contact in the North Shore market as well, she’s simply the best. And if, for some odd reason, you’re a golf fanatic, welcome to the Barb Yozell fan club. If the real estate industry ever establishes handicaps for its agents, Barb will be a scratch professional.

To Whom it may concern, and I hope this review of working with Barbara Yozell is the concern of many lucky buyers and sellers.
Barbara from the start of our 2 bedroom cape home sale to the finish of buying our 3 bedroom colonial dream home both in Swampscott was nothing less than remarkable. In these trying times when all we as sellers heard was "nothing is moving" Barbara let us know that if we were patient good things would come.
We were with the help of Barbara calling just about daily to "check in" with us and my goodness that made us feel so much more at ease.
Our 2 bedroom cape sold within 65 days and we were off with Barb, OUR choice to use her on the purchase of a new home to see other homes for sale. We found one we really loved and Barbara came along every step of the way to buying our new home. remarkably, with Barbara as our agent, we bought and sold at the same law office the same day at the same time and we were in our new home.
My husband and I cannot stop giving Barbara Yozell a "Plug" every time we hear someone is trying to buy or sell their home or condo. No matter were Barbara hangs her hat, she will do well for sure. Barbara is a wonderful, professional, straight shooter and was more of a friend than an agent. She dots her i's and crosses her t's and some how manages to remain true to her employer through a balance of all the personalities involved at any one time. We feel we are very very lucky to have found Barbara and could not have been any happier throughout our sale and purchase. A master at her craft.
