About Renee Vilcheck

Bio

Renee Marsh Vilcheck was born and reared in Greenville, South Carolina and graduated from Erskine College with a BS degree in education. After graduation in 1984, she taught in Greenville County School District until 1990. The daughter of a commercial and residential home builder, Renee spent over 20 years working in new home construction, remodeling and development. Her father, Jerry Marsh, was a premier residential custom home builder and was named Greenville and SC home builder of the year. He also owned Tri-County Real Estate and Marsh/Bell Commercial Construction Company. Renee worked in the offices and in the field as a job superintendent of many large projects. She also served on several architectural review boards for large communities in the Greenville area. The years of experience and extensive knowledge learned from her father of all phases of residential construction, negotiation and sales is of great benefit to her real estate clients. In the spring of 2000, Renee and her husband, Ken, bought property on Daufuskie Island and built everlasting family memories with their 4 children. It was their love and passion for the area that moved them to become full time residents in 2005. They enrolled their four children at Hilton Head Christian Academy and Renee put her real estate career on hold to teach middle school math with their children in attendance. She was an enthusiastic Varsity Cheerleading Coach. She was Hilton Head Christian Academy’s Teacher of the year in 2007 and Hilton Head/Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Sue West Teacher of the Year nominee. After 10 years of teaching and their youngest graduated, Renee is back to her passion in real estate. She is a member of the Hilton Head Association of Realtors and Leading RE Military on the Move certified. With her knowledge and experience in both home construction and real estate, she possesses skills that benefit both buyers and sellers.
