"We worked with Richard Murphy to buy our first home on the South Shore. Being first time home buyers, we were really nervous about the whole process and had heard many horror stories about real estate agents who are out to make a commission rather than helping the buyer ( or seller). Naturally, we talked to many different agents before settling on Rich Murphy and we can happily say that it was the right decision. Rich is a true gem and a rare find in an industry where there are too many bad apples who are just looking out for themselves. As we soon found , he has amazing instincts and a deep knowledge about the market and the underlying dynamics which really helped us in buying the right house at a great price. Another great thing about him was that even though, in the beginning , we did not really know the area and what we wanted other than the fact that we wanted to be close to the Ocean, Rich patiently worked with us over 3+ months showing us different properties in different towns and astutely listened to what we liked and did not like about each house and by process of elimination , found us the right house in the end . We never felt pressured to make a decision and above everything else, we always felt that Rich was very honest and upfront about everything and that he was on our side no matter what. When we made a really low offer, he would let us know what he thought and when we tried to offer too much , he would tell us his thoughts as well ( even though it would have been easier for him not to ). He talked us out of making some really bad decisions . Thanks to Rich, we found a beautiful home near the Ocean in a fantastic town with great schools. I would highly recommend Richard Murphy and will definitely work with him, should we ever need to buy or sell a house in the future."
