"Susan handled both the purchase of my new Nantucket home (Feb, 2020) as well as the sale of my pre-existing Nantucket condo (Nov, 2019). Both presented challenges and Susan worked tirelessly to see both through to terrific outcomes for me with as little disruption to the rest of my life as possible . . . we met walking our dogs, started talking, got to know each other, and became friends . . . and over the course of the subsequent 6 months, Susan got to know my interests and preferences, which at times were conflicting- I wasn?t sure myself what I was really looking for. She ran listings and patiently re-ran them as my price range and attitudes changed. She pumped me up when I was growing weary of the hunting, talked me down when she believed I was leaning into something that was not a ?fit.?

She showed me properties before they hit the open market, negotiated very effectively on my behalf and very importantly for a first time house buyer on Nantucket, ensured all of the eccentricities of the properties history and functionality (and there were a few) and ACK-specific policies, protocols and practices were surfaced and understood before going to close. But that?s not the best part of my Susan Renzulli experience.

I had wanted to time the close to follow the sale of my pre-existing condo ? and at a time of year that wasn?t -to my mind- ideal for selling an island property. Susan built a superlative package to effectively list my property inclusive of having it staged (very inexpensively) got beautiful shots of the interior and exterior (which to this day stall make me miss my little condo), wrote a very compelling description of the property and recommended a pricing strategy ? all of which got my place sold at almost full ask ?BEFORE THE LISTING EVEN HIT THE MLS. And there were some unusual requirements on the buyer?s side of the deal which she navigated seamlessly and almost completely independently.

Susan was the perfect partner for me for both transactions for a number of reasons. First, she was intuitively the perfect mix of indulgent and directive with me when I needed her to be. Second, she treated me, the other agents and both properties with respect and professionalism all the way through. Third (and this cannot be understated), Susan is a genuinely nice, thoughtful, polite and caring person- which was so appreciated by everyone involved. I can see where other agents would want to deal with her, because she makes it easy, limiting contention and confusion at every turn. And fourth, and perhaps most importantly, while both transactions were progressing, I was going through a family health crisis, a job transition and the buying and selling of my primary residence in Boston. So my time and attention was very limited, which I could afford because Susan handled so much of the detail on her own. She ran down historical, town and financial, documents & proof sources, worked with my attorney and that of the seller and buyer independently, bringing me into discussion only when necessary. And I knew she was always operated in my best interests ? as opposed to those of getting a deal done. She even made great recommendations for insurers, contractors, storage facilities and other needed facilitators to make the transactions and transitions as painless as possible.

In addition to all of that, in Susan made a friend who has been there for me during and since the transactions and moves and I am beyond appreciative and grateful for her capability, knowledge and support. I cannot imagine ever doing a real estate transaction without her and would recommend her to anyone even thinking about a purchase or sale. She?ll do her level best for you and make it as easy as these often emotional and trying experiences can possibly be. The entire process for both the purchase and sale, which could have been harrowing on both ends, was, dare I say ? delightful.
